The Heather is Blooming! Today is Epiphany and those three wise men are arriving to meet the Baby Jesus. We have a special service at the church and a soup supper. The heather in front of the house, along the driveway, has started to bloom. In these dark winter days, it jumps out as you ride by.
We are also starting our Cruise Planning class tonight. We're looking forward to the class which should give us lots of information about going on long trips in the islands and into Canadian waters. The guy teaching the class has been to Alaska two or three times. I don't want to go to Alaska unless we have a group of boats going, but we will learn lots about the places to stop on the way up there. We plan to have many trips up into Canadian waters, and all the help we can get is better for us.
I am doing Weight Watchers again and have lost 17 lbs so far. Started the day before Thanksgiving, and so far so good. I think about food lots, but I did that anyway.
We leave for SoCal on Sunday to do some work on Grandma Wagner's house. We are only going to be there for four days because I start my EFM Bible Study class again on Friday. This year we do church history. Can't wait.
We are getting ready to select a new Rector for the church. No idea who it will be, but rumors are that we have a few good applicants. That would be great! Hope we find someone who can give us at least 6 years and out of the tangle we are in now. We have a future, but we need a leader.
The best from the Whidbey Wagners on a cold winter day.
